Heroes nowadays wear face masks rather than capes, and a luxury hotel chain in Mexico has honored 100 healthcare superheroes with free spa vacations as a gesture of gratitude for their heroic actions during the global pandemic.
Luxury Hotel with a Great Appreciation of Healthcare Experts
The last year in pandemic has put their professionalism, determination, and extreme resilience to be of assistance to others on full display. As a token of appreciation for all their hard work and putting their lives on the line, Velas Resorts gives 100 healthcare heroes a well-deserved vacation on a Mexican beach.
In April, the public voted for their favorite stories from 350 nominations, deciding who would win an all-inclusive stay at the luxurious resort for four days and three nights, with food and drinks prepared by the resort’s top chefs and restaurants.
The voting period ended on April 30th, and the winners were declared last week, along with their vouchers for the Velas Vallarta resort in Puerto Vallarta. Los Cabos, Riviera Maya, and Riviera Nayarit are among Velas’ other resort destinations.
Aeromexico, a Mexican airline, partnered with the initiative to provide roundtrip flights for the selected medical staff to the luxury hotel.
One of the winners was Carlos Alberto Espinoza Casillas. His nomination included a picture of the neurosurgeon wearing a special Batman-themed suit that he designed to give hope to his patients.
Enjoy Life to the Fullest
Dr. Poulin has been employed in the Sherbrooke CHUS Hospital’s intensive care unit for a year and has never taken a break. He’s the one that’s been looking after people who have the virus and are experiencing severe symptoms. Every day, he puts his personal life on the line to support others. Dr. Poulin wanted people to know that we should value everything in life and, above all, enjoy it to the fullest.
