Christmas, Hannukah, New Year’s Eve, and other holidays are all about spending time with family and friends, which ultimately makes holidays that much more memorable and special. Of course, for some people, it’s not always possible to spend holidays with their loved ones due to the distance between them and the expense of traveling to one another.
To help bring together families and friends that otherwise wouldn’t be able to spend the holidays together, JetBlue has decided to offer a very special opportunity as part of a rather funny holiday contest.
The contest will allow five people to win free round-trip plane tickets to the destination of their choice, so they can travel to their families and friends. There’s another fun catch, too. It turns out that the winners will not only fly to visit their loved ones, but then they will also get to be gift-wrapped and delivered in the packaging of their choice for a pretty cool (and funny) moment.
The contest has been appropriately titled “Go Get Gifted” by JetBlue. The winners of the contest will be flown out to join their friends and family on Christmas. For the contest, entrants were asked to write a short bit about why they wanted to get a chance to “go get gifted.”
JetBlue even did a promotional video showing some of the potential of having a relative, friend, or other loved one “delivered” for the holidays. It seems like it would definitely be a memorable way to kick off Christmas Eve.
Hopefully, this contest will inspire other companies to do similar things later on in the future. After all, there are lots of contests for free vacations and other pretty normal prizes, but there aren’t a lot of contests that reward people by bringing them together for the holidays, right?.
