The Jonas Brothers Surprised Their 16-Year-Old Fan When She Missed Their Concert

You just never know who might end up reading a post on social media. But for one young cancer patient stuck fighting for her life in the hospital, her disappointment over missing a long-awaited concert just wasn’t something she could keep to herself. At 16 years old, Lily had already been a fan of the Jonas Brothers for years. When she found out they were coming to play a show in her hometown, she bought tickets right away. But then, tragedy struck…she was diagnosed with cancer.

She wanted nothing more in the world than to see this show, but her doctors and parents strictly forbade it. So she took to Instagram to share her heartbreak over missing the show. But through her tears, she kept her sense of humor, pretending to address the beloved brothers directly: “I was supposed to be at your Hershey concert tomorrow but instead I’m across the street doing chemo,” wrote Lily. “If y’all wanted to pop in, I’ll give you my room number.” And it certainly got some attention.

Suddenly, people near and far were sharing her dismayed message. Even the Pennsylvania Representative Scott Perry posted to Facebook on her behalf, saying: “Our good friend Lily so badly wanted to see the Jonas Brothers tomorrow night at Hershey Park, but can’t because of her urgent treatment…we are lifting up her hopes and our prayers for help.” Then, people even went a step further, and began begging the Jonas brothers to give her a shoutout. But they did everyone even one better…

Just a few days later out of nowhere, Lily got an announcement in the hospital that she had some unexpected visitors, who wanted to surprise her. That’s when the Jonas Brothers themselves walked into her room, and made her dreams come true. “[This] made my crappy chemo session into something incredibly special and unforgettable,” Lily wrote on Instagram.
