Some of us have grand plans about what we want to be when we grow up. So what about if the universe looks as though it has other plans? Thankfully, this handicapped model is inspiring others to follow their dreams.
Behind The Model
Brianna Johnson has always dreamed of being a model. The modeling industry is already highly competitive, but it looks as though Brianna has faced more difficulties than many others. Why? This aspiring model was born with arthrogryposis – a condition that has seen her in and out of the hospital multiple times over the years.
Arthrogryposis is a term that describes more than 300 conditions that all affect the joints, ligaments, muscles, and bones. People are born with the condition that can cause curvature of the joints. Some people have mild symptoms, such as stiff joints or muscle weakness, while others have difficulty moving. Everyone is affected differently, meaning treatment varies between each patient. Thankfully, many go on to live full and healthy lives.
Achieving Her Dreams
Brianna always knew that she wanted to be a model, and it looked as though nothing was going to stop her from making her dreams come true. She admits that she is still trying to make a name for herself in the industry, but Brianna is determined to do whatever it takes to make herself stand out from the crowd. Thankfully, her multicolored hair has helped land Brianna a handful of jobs so far.
It turns out that Brianna has had more than 40 surgeries so far. These have all been to help the model get as much movement as possible, and it looks as though there could still be more to come. However, Brianna wants others to know that if she can do it, then we all can, too. Sometimes, we just have to work a little harder to reach our goals than others.
This handicapped model is inspiring others to follow their dreams, and it looks as though Brianna has been able to carve quite the online following so far. Who knows, it might not be long before we see her appearing in modeling shoots all around the world all thanks to her determination to never give up.
