It’s amazing how greenery can liven up an area. Not only does it add some much-needed color, but it also makes a neighborhood a lot more presentable. That’s why one man decided to plant a guerilla garden by a Santa Rosa parking lot, and he was amazed by the response he got.

Improving The Neighborhood
This planting project started with some cosmos and cherry tomato plants in a small patch of soil. Bushes had recently been removed from the area, so it needed more greenery. No-one told the man to plant anything there, but he felt compelled to cheer up the neighborhood.
Helping The Homeless
It wasn’t long before this green-thumbed gentleman realized that his hard work was appreciated. When the tomato plants blossomed, homeless people started using them as a food source. The man was glad to see his hard work was helping others, so he extended his project to a planting strip just up the street.

What Are You Doing?
There was only one issue with what this guy was doing – he hadn’t asked permission. That’s why the City of Santa Rosa soon got in contact with him and questioned what he was upto. The man told them that he walked through the area all the time and that he wanted to spruce it up. Thankfully, the response he got to that was a positive one.
An Offer To Help
It seems the city representative loved what he was doing, and offered to help him in any way possible. He provided some soil and mulch for the project, and he even had a spigot installed, so that it was easier to water the plants. Things could have quickly gone south, but instead, they turned out perfectly.
We’re glad to see this man’s hard work was praised in the end, even if he did do it behind people’s backs.
